BUY at the ASK, SELL at the BID

How open COL FINANCIAL Account Online?

BUY at the ASK, SELL at the BID.

These phrase is the one you need to remember when buying and selling your stock. This is the basic and most important. When you are on your Trading Platform medyo complicated ang makikita mo mapa philstocks, col financial or kahit anu pa ang account mo.

But don't worry guys, We will make it simple and easy to understand, But first what is BUY at the ASK, SELL at the BID.

The ASK is the price that the stock are being offered for o yung price na willing ibenta ng ibang trader yung shares nila.

The BID is the price that people willing to buy a stock o eto yung price ng stock na gustong bilin ng trader.

Look at the screenshots below, these screenshot are taken from Philstocks and Col Finacial Platform.

Medyo magulo diba? Pero I want you guys to focus only on the things na nasa luob ng red boxes dahil ito lang ang kailangan mo to buy and sell stocks

How they determine the board lot of a stock? Depende to sa current price ng Company. You can check on this post yung price range ng Board Lot. Board Lot of Philippine Stock Exchange

BUY AT THE ASK

Now, Sa pagbili ng stocks, look at the screenshot below

Makikita mo sa Philstocks Screenshot na may 5 rows, eto yung top 5 lowest price na willing ibenta ang stocks nila, while on COL top 3 lowest price naman

sa ASK, you will see 2 columns. Yung PRICE at yung VOLUME SIZE
Volume or Size ay yung dame ng shares na binebenta at their specific price.

For example:
Sa BPI, there are 30 shares na pwede mo bilin worth 101.60 per share, 2nd row ay may 8610 share worth 102.60 per share.

Sa ALI, there are 500 shares na pwede mo bilin worth 43.65 per share, 2nd row ay may 12000 share worth 43.7 per share.

Lageng yung lowest price ang nasa first row and so on.

Always buy the cheapest one. :)

SELL AT THE BID

Let say na you have current shares sa ALI or BPI and you hit your target price at  gusto mo na ibenta to, Focus on the BID Column.

BID  is the price that people willing to buy a stock o eto yung price ng stock na gustong bilin ng trader.

If gusto mo agad ma execute or mabenta yung stocks mo, Sell your stocks at the highest price na willing yung trader na bilin ito.

look at the screenshots below.

Same lang sa ASK, May Volume at Price Column. Dito naman makikita mo yung Volume or size na shares  na gustong bilin ng trader at their specific price.

For example:

Lageng yung highest price ang nasa first row and so on.

So kung magbebenta kayo always sell at the highest price.

Guys, you will also notice na ang laki ng volume o size ng shares per row, Eto na po yung pinagsama samang shares ng mga trader na gustong bumili o ibenta ang stocks nila.

Can you set your own bidding and selling price? Yes you can, pero syempre ang ipopost lang ng Online Broker mo ay yung top 5 lowest and highest prices. kung gusto mo ma execute agad yung order mo. Always buy the cheapest one available at ASK and always sell at the highest price people are willing to pay for at BID.
